Linear MCP Connector

Connect Sazabi to Linear through MCP to browse issues and projects.

The Linear MCP connector lets Chat browse issues and projects in your Linear workspace. This provides context during investigations by letting Chat see related issues and project information.

About the Linear MCP connector

The Linear MCP connector gives Chat read-only access to your Linear workspace. With this connector, Chat can:

  • List and search existing issues
  • View issue details and comments
  • Access project and cycle information
  • Browse team structures

Prerequisites

Before connecting Linear via MCP, make sure you have:

  • A Sazabi account with admin permissions.
  • A Linear workspace where you have permission to authorize apps.

Connecting Linear

Open MCP Connectors

Go to Settings -> MCP Connectors in the Sazabi dashboard.

Select Linear

Find Linear in the list of available connectors and click Connect.

Authorize access

You will be redirected to Linear to authorize Sazabi. Review the requested permissions and click Authorize.

Verify connection

After authorization, you will be returned to Sazabi. The Linear connector should show as connected with available tools listed.

Once connected, the Linear MCP connector provides read-only tools to Chat:

Usage examples

With the Linear MCP connector, you can ask Sazabi to:

Find existing issues related to the payment service
Show me the details of issue ABC-123
List all open issues in the Backend project
Search for issues mentioning "timeout"

Troubleshooting

Connection failed

If the OAuth flow fails:

  1. Verify you have permission to authorize apps in your Linear workspace.
  2. Check that your Linear plan supports API access.
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.

Cannot access issues

If issue access fails:

  1. Verify the Linear connector is still connected.
  2. Check that you have permission to view issues in the target team.
  3. Ensure the team and project exist.
