About the Sazabi integration for Rootly
The Sazabi integration for Rootly routes alerts directly to Rootly for automated incident management and response. When Sazabi detects issues in your telemetry data, alerts automatically create Rootly incidents.
With the Sazabi integration for Rootly, you can:
- Automatically create Rootly incidents from Sazabi alerts.
- Map Sazabi alert severities to Rootly severity levels.
- Include relevant context like error messages and affected services in each incident.
- Link back to Sazabi for deeper investigation.
Prerequisites
Before you connect Rootly, make sure you have:
- A Sazabi account. Request access at sazabi.com
- A Rootly account with permission to create API keys.
Installation
Generate an API key in Rootly
In your Rootly account, go to Settings -> API Keys and create a new API key. Copy the key value.
Connect to Rootly
Click + Add connection and enter your Rootly API key.
Configure severity mapping
Under Settings -> Integrations -> Rootly, configure how Sazabi alert severities map to Rootly severity levels.
How it works
Once connected, Sazabi sends alerts to Rootly using the REST API. Each alert includes:
- Error messages and descriptions
- Affected services
- Links back to Sazabi for deeper investigation
Severity mapping lets you control which Sazabi alert severities create Rootly incidents and at what severity level. This helps ensure your team is notified appropriately based on the urgency of the issue.
