SMS Delivery

Configure SMS notifications for urgent alert delivery.

SMS notifications are reserved for urgent alerts that need immediate attention. This channel is configured per-user and requires explicit opt-in.

Opt-in only

SMS delivery requires explicit opt-in and phone verification. You must verify your phone number before enabling SMS notifications.

High severity only

By default, SMS is reserved for high and critical severity alerts. This ensures you only receive text messages for issues that truly need immediate attention.

Message format

SMS notifications are brief and include:

  • Alert name
  • Severity level
  • Short link to the dashboard

Phone verification

To enable SMS notifications, you must verify your phone number.

Open profile settings

Go to Settings > Profile > Phone.

Enter your phone number

Enter your mobile phone number with country code.

Verify with code

You will receive a verification code via SMS. Enter the code to confirm your phone number.

Enable SMS notifications

Once verified, return to notification settings and enable SMS delivery.

SMS notifications may incur carrier charges depending on your mobile plan. Sazabi sends SMS through a verified service to ensure reliable delivery.

Configuring preferences

Open notification settings

Navigate to Settings > Notifications in the Sazabi dashboard.

Enable SMS delivery

Toggle SMS notifications on for your account.

Set minimum severity

Select the minimum severity level that triggers an SMS notification. We recommend Critical only or High and above.

Save preferences

Click Save to apply your notification preferences.

Per-project settings

You can configure different notification settings for each project:

  • Override team defaults for specific projects
  • Silence notifications for development or staging projects
  • Set higher thresholds for projects with more noise

Project-level settings take precedence over your default preferences.
