Alert History

Track the full event history and audit trail for each alert.

Every alert in Sazabi maintains a complete history of events that occurred during its lifecycle. This audit trail helps you understand how an alert was handled and who took which actions.

Event types

Sazabi tracks the following events for each alert:

EventDescription
createdAlert was triggered by Chat
resolvedAlert was marked as fixed
mutedAlert was muted to suppress notifications
unmutedAlert was unmuted to resume notifications
updatedAlert details were changed

Each event is recorded with its timestamp and the actor who performed it.

Actor tracking

Every event in an alert's history includes information about who performed the action:

Agent

When Chat triggers or resolves an alert, it is recorded as the actor. This helps distinguish between automated actions and manual interventions.

User

When a team member takes action on an alert (resolving, muting, or updating), their user ID and name are recorded. This provides clear accountability for incident response.

Viewing history

Open the alert card

Navigate to the alert you want to inspect from the dashboard inbox or from a Slack notification link.

Click the History toggle

On the alert detail view, click the History toggle to expand the event timeline.

Review the chronological event list

Events appear in chronological order, showing the full lifecycle of the alert from creation to resolution.

Event metadata

Each event in the history includes detailed metadata:

Timestamp

The exact date and time when the event occurred, displayed in your local timezone.

Resolution notes

When an alert is resolved, the resolver can add notes explaining what fixed the issue. These notes appear in the history and are valuable for post-mortems.

Changes made

For update events, the history shows what changed. This might include severity adjustments, name updates, or other modifications to the alert.

Alert history is preserved even after resolution. You can access the full event timeline for any alert through the history search.
