Overview
Connect your cloud platforms to Sazabi with automatic log forwarding - no infrastructure setup required.
Native data sources are the easiest way to get logs into Sazabi. When you connect your cloud platform, Sazabi provisions and manages the log forwarding infrastructure automatically. You authenticate, select what to monitor, and logs start flowing within minutes.
How native data sources work
With native data sources, Sazabi handles the integration work:
- Authenticate: Connect your cloud provider account using OAuth, API keys, or IAM roles
- Select resources: Choose which log groups, projects, or applications to monitor
- Automatic provisioning: Sazabi creates subscription filters, log sinks, or log drains in your cloud account
- Real-time streaming: Logs flow to Sazabi automatically as they are generated
You do not need to deploy any agents, configure forwarding rules, or manage infrastructure. Sazabi does it for you.
Available native data sources
AWS CloudWatch Logs
Forward logs from AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, and other AWS services via CloudWatch subscription filters.
Google Cloud Logging
Stream logs from Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, and other GCP services via log sinks.
Vercel
Receive build, runtime, and edge logs from your Vercel deployments via log drains.
Convex
Stream function logs and events from your Convex backend in real-time.
DigitalOcean
Forward logs from App Platform applications and Droplets.
Fly.io
Stream logs from your Fly.io applications via a NATS-based log shipper.
Render
Receive logs from web services, workers, and cron jobs via log streams.
Native vs manual data sources
| Aspect | Native | Manual |
|---|---|---|
| Setup time | Minutes | Varies |
| Infrastructure | Managed by Sazabi | Self-managed |
| Configuration | Point and click | Code or config files |
| Control | Select what to monitor | Full control over forwarding |
| Best for | Quick setup, standard use cases | Custom requirements, existing pipelines |
Choose native data sources when you want the fastest path to logs. Choose manual data sources when you need fine-grained control or are integrating with existing logging infrastructure.
Managing connected sources
After connecting a native data source, you can:
- Add or remove resources: Update which log groups, projects, or applications are monitored
- View connection status: Check that the connection is healthy and logs are flowing
- Disconnect: Remove the connection and clean up resources created by Sazabi
Manage your data sources in Settings > Data Sources in the Sazabi dashboard.
