Datadog
Query Datadog logs, metrics, and traces directly from Sazabi without moving data.
Datadog as an external backend is coming soon. In the meantime, you can use the Datadog MCP connector to interact with Datadog through the AI assistant.
Overview
Datadog is one of the most popular observability platforms. With Sazabi's Datadog backend, you can query your Datadog logs, metrics, and traces directly from Chat without moving data out of Datadog.
What you can query
When Datadog is configured as a backend, Chat can access:
- Logs: Search and analyze logs stored in Datadog Log Management
- Metrics: Query metrics from Datadog infrastructure and custom metrics
- Traces: Analyze distributed traces from Datadog APM
- Events: Access events from Datadog Event Management
Authentication
Sazabi authenticates with Datadog using:
- API Key: Your Datadog API key for read access
- Application Key: Your Datadog application key for scoped permissions
You can generate these keys in your Datadog organization settings under Organization Settings > API Keys and Organization Settings > Application Keys.
Use cases
Configure Datadog as a backend when:
- You have an existing investment in Datadog and want to keep data there
- Compliance requirements prevent data duplication
- You want Chat to query Datadog alongside other backends
